Award Show!

I am so proud of everyone. I can’t believe how hard every group worked. You truly are Rock Stars! I am amazed at how talented each and every one of you is. The awards were very hard to choose, because every group was so amazing. You all had EVERY single one of these qualities, but some more so than others. I couldn’t even choose a VIP group because you all rocked too much! Here are your awards:

Most Faithful to Character: Laval
I know everyone has had a lot of fun in creating these videos…but remember the actual point of the assignment was to learn about your historical figures! This group kept that in mind. They worked harder than I’ve ever seen some of them work. They worked together as a team and learnt lots of interesting things about their person. When they filmed their video, they were very together in their dancing, and made sure the dance focused on their person. The award for the best group in staying most faithful to their character is…Kerby, Ryan, and Kevin! Good work guys!
Most Acrobatic Group: Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve
This group rocked it aerobically! Out of every group, they were the only ones to show off their flexibility. They worked hard and made their music video work out even when one of their group members couldn’t be there! Congratulations Jeremy, Seleana, and Anthony for being the most acrobatic group!

Best Lyrics: Jeanne Mance

I learned so much about this group’s historical character from their song alone! It was a very well written song, and a long one too! They worked hard together and had a great dance to go with the best lyrics written! Way to go Alexandre, Kylie, and Arielle for writing the best song! I will be singing it for days!

Best Singing: Jean Talon

This group worked very hard and they must have been drinking lots of tea and humming lots on their way to school, because they all had amazing voices! They had a very catchy song that I couldn’t get out of head! Great work on being such a hardworking team, always working well together, and working at having the most beautiful voices! Congratulations on the best singing to Nathaniel, Haileigh, and Amy!

Best Choreography: Samuel de Champlain
This group was one of the first to be filmed, and already had an amazing dance down pat. That means that they were working their butts off and that they were very focused as a team. They had so many interesting dance moves that there was barely any space to add in effects! Their dance was awesome, and they were all together. They all knew exactly what moves to do, and when to do them. The award for best choreography goes to Gregory, Anya, and Melanie! Good Job guys!

Funniest Video: Louis XIV of France

Rivalling the title for most original concept, this group came up with a very interesting idea. They formed their video in more of a theatrical format, and spooked everyone…but also made everyone crack up laughing! Good work in creativity and dramatic usage. Sara, Jessie, and Thomas have come up with the funniest video!

Best Group Work: Jacques Cartier
This group had a member leave them right at the start, and although they had some disagreements in the beginning phase of their project…they turned everything around and became a very hardworking dynamic duo! Wonderful work to being the best team, Laury and Megane!

Most Original Concept: Marguerite Bourgeoys
This group was incredibly well rehearsed and it only took ONE take to film their video. They used props that no other group had, and they were very creative in using their feet in their dance! They were the best practiced team. Congratulations Victoria, Thomas, and Shawn for coming up with the most unique and original concept!
