Field Trip to Quebec City!

We went on a field trip to Quebec City! We visited the Musée de la civilisation! One of the exhibitions that we saw was called “Moving with the River”. We have been studying the settlement of Canada and the influence that the St. Lawrence River had upon that. We came to realize the important role that the St. Lawrence played in building this country. It is where the colonies began and it was a passageway for millions of immigrants. We really enjoyed the museum, and we were really able to connect it to our current project! There was even a portion of the day where we had the opportunity to dress up in old historical outfits and learn about things that were used in that era. This got us in the spirit for when we will be dressing up again to embody our historical characters for our music videos!  At the end of the day we had the chance to see a wonderful water exhibit. We all held glowing water droplets in our hands, and learned about the importance of water and how it affects the world. There was a curtain of rain that fell from the ceiling, and it opened up for us to walk through- almost like Moses! It was an amazing experience and it is too bad that we weren’t allowed cameras into the water show! Here is a link of the museum that we went to:
